4.8. Java program to display kana

Sorry, your browser cannot load the Java applet.

This applet needs Java 1.1 or higher.

Type the phonemes or the Romanization of a kana and you will get the kana. When you don't get any response, hit the applet with the mouse to get the focus.

You cannot use capital letters to display kana except for (n) and (small tu), which are displayed by "N" and "Q" respectively. The kana (wo) is displayed by "wo". The ancient kana which are not used now, (wi) and (we), are also displayed by "wi" and "we" respectively. Other than alphabets, you can use minus for long mark, and space, comma, period, question mark, and exclamation mark. Use backspace key to delete the last character.

Use the list box to change fonts.
