Subject: descriptive verb

But the problem is, if you call 太い a "descriptive verb" then what do you call a real descripitive verb like 太る. There is a whole class of verbs that are used to describe states in Japanese that are described in English by adj+is. BTW, can someone help me with the difference between 太った子 and 太い子. Maybe the former means "a kid who got fat" while the latter simply means "a fat kid" but maybe not it seems to me like they just both correspond to English "a fat kid".
